On my Audible wish list is How They Broke Britain by James O'Brien. As someone who regularly tunes into his sharp commentary on LBC, I’m eager to Hear his take on the political and social forces shaping the UK. It’s next on My must-listen list for 2025.

📺 What I’m Watching

This holiday season, I had some incredible cinematic experiences that were both inspiring and emotional.

One proud dad moment came when my eldest daughter was chosen to interview the cast of Wicked before its London premiere, including Jeff Goldblum and Ariana Grande. Watching the film afterwards was pure magic—the music, the visuals, and the story were spectacular. I’m already counting down the days to part two!

However, the film that truly stayed with me was Tyler Perry’s Six Tripple Eight. This powerful movie sheds light on the untold story of World War II’s only II'sn’s ArWomen'ss unit of colour, a group of 855 Black women who sorted millions of undelivered mail, reconnecting soldiers with their families and giving hope to those fighting on the front lines.

It’s a story that history books too often ignore—the courage, resilience, and determination of these women who faced racism, sexism, and the hardships of war to serve their country.

Recently, I saw a behind-the-scenes clip of Tyler Perry directing a scene where the women march in unison. He was determined to honour their legacy, ensuring every step was perfect for the few surviving unit members. Watching that clip gave me chills; it was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by these unsung heroes and the impact they had on the lives of countless soldiers.

Movies like this remind us of the importance of telling these stories—stories that have been overlooked for far too long. They challenge us to reflect, learn, and honour the people who paved the way, often in the face of unimaginable adversity.
