Hi there,

With November settling in and the days growing shorter and colder ❄️, it’s the perfect time for reflection and renewal. Recently, I attended the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition in Manchester, where I explored the latest insights on workplace wellness and mental health 🌱. I was also honoured to be invited to the Houses of Commons, where I met with Bob Chapman, Chairman of the 1922 Committee, just days before the Conservative Party selected Kemi Badenoch as their new leader. It’s been a month full of fresh perspectives and powerful conversations on how to drive positive change!

Demand has surged for talks on essential topics like menopause, financial well-being, resilience, and their impact on mental health 🌟. I’m also in discussions with the University of Sheffield on some exciting wellness initiatives—so keep an eye out for more on that. And with next year’s Warrior Camp in Spain already on the horizon, I’m setting my sights on a 2025 filled with growth, resilience, and connection. Planning trips and events like these always remind me how important it is to carve out time for our own development, too.

Are you setting your plans for 2025 yet? As we approach the end of 2024, it’s the perfect time to check in on those goals 🎯. Have you achieved what you set out to do this year, or is there still some ground to cover before we reach the finish line?

Stephen Covey wisely said, “The key is not to prioritise what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” Let’s dive into this month with a renewed focus on well-being and resilience—ready to take on all that lies ahead!

Where are you on your 2024 journey? Let’s finish strong and set the stage for an even brighter 2025. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts—what topics do you want to dive into next year, or which issues feel most urgent in your team?

Warm regards,

Mike

What I'm Reading, Listening to, and Watching

I’m always seeking new ways to deepen my understanding of mental health and personal growth, and there’s no shortage of influential books, podcasts, and films. In this section, I’m sharing what’s recently caught my attention—content that has impacted how I think, work, and approach wellness. I hope these recommendations inspire new ideas and perspectives for your own journey.

📚 What I'm Reading

I am still reading The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav, a book that delves into spirituality, purpose, and aligning with your true self. It’s been on my list for a while, and I’m excited to dive into its wisdom and reflect on how it applies to life and work.

🎧 What I'm Listening To

I’ve been tuning into some of his unforgettable classics in honour of the legendary Quincy Jones. From the unmistakable groove of “Stuff Like That,” to the smooth vibes of “The Secret Garden,” and, of course, Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”—each track is a reminder of why Quincy’s music is untouchable. His songs continue to inspire and remind us why his sound is truly one of a kind. 🎶

📺 What I'm Watching

I’ve been watching coverage of how Donald Trump made his way back to the White House, beating Kamala Harris by a comfortable margin—even though the polls and media were so sure it would go the other way. It makes you wonder, doesn’t it? With so much certainty from the experts, how did they get it so wrong? Sometimes, you have to ask: is the mainstream media pushing its own agenda rather than giving us the full story?

What are your thoughts—are we seeing the whole truth, or is there more going on behind the scenes?
